Out of an abundance of caution for the safety of our students, families, and staff, all Parent-Teacher Conferences on Tuesday, February 18 will be rescheduled for Tuesday, February 25 and Thursday, February 27 afterschool. Time: TBA We will continue to follow our early release schedule for today with elementary students dismissing at 1:00 pm and secondary students dismissing at 1:15 pm today.
All after school activities, including the basketball game at Crossett, have been canceled as well. Further information on school opening for Wednesday, February 19 will be forthcoming. Thank you for your continued support and cooperation. Stay safe!
Watson Chapel School District is actively monitoring weather forecasts, with winter conditions anticipated Tuesday and Wednesday. Dr. McGee represented Watson Chapel at the Pine Bluff Regional Chamber of Commerce's luncheon on February 5. He shared our mission and vision for the future of our district and community and encouraged more local business leaders to engage and volunteer within our school. The first event of our "Wildcats are WILD About Reading" initiative kicked off today with Craig O'Neill as our special guest reader! Staff were treated to breakfast sponsored by Baldwin & Shell and a special appearance by Mayor Vivian Flowers, who shared words of encouragement to students. A big "thank you" to all community and Chamber of Commerce members and Baldwin & Shell staff who took time to stop by to tell our students about the importance of reading!🖤💛
As part of our Wildcats Are WILD About Reading! district-wide reading initiative, we are excited to announce our first gues reader, Mr. Craig O'Neill! He will be visiting Edgewood Elementary on February 3 to read to our students!

Edgewood Elementary School's Cafeteria hosted Mrs. Martin's Class today during our students' lunch hours. Thank you, Mrs. Martain & Mrs. Rucker, for allowing our students to see the high school students working the cafeteria setting with our fantastic lunch ladies.
Thank you to Mrs. Pat Hall for the wonderful SNAP program that the students have been involved in. The healthy food initiative through the SNAP program has been a good food learning experience for the students.
Edgewood Elementary School had our awards ceremonies this morning. Congratulations to all the students who received awards today. It was a great turn out. Thank you, parents and guardians, for coming out and supporting our students.
